Welcome to the 2026 Michigan Academic Library Association Conference in beautiful Traverse City! I’m excited for the program and events our conference committee has in store for all of you. And, I want to say a big thank-you to them for leading MiALA through our first effort to separate institutional hosting from conference planning. I hope the next couple of days are energizing and full of great conversations and learning with colleagues from across the state and region. I’m sorry I can’t be there in person, but I hope you know I’m with you in spirit.
